I recently went to an Anime con that was in my city, Ikkicon. This was my first time scheduling photoshoots ahead of time! In the past, I'd show up and ask random cosplayers if they wanted a photoshoot done.
Friday actually started with a cancellation since she wasn't feeling well, so to fill the spot, I asked 2 girls who were dressed as a female Captain America and Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service. (Cosplayers: Chibibotan and DoragonRyu)

Productive Saturday
Feb. 4th, 2012 11:10 pmWell, I got started on one of my New Years resolutions today:
Finish cleaning, decorating, and furnishing our house.
Though, it wasn't the resolution that motivated me. It was the oh crap we have friends over tomorrow and our house is a total mess that did it. We're hosting a party for the Super Bowl. To be honest, I don't really care about the Super Bowl. I'll watch college football to cheer for my alma mater, but I don't care for pro football. I do love having friends over and making food though!
We plan on braising bacon, which will then be cut, seared, topped with a homemade apple slaw, and served as a slider. I'm also making my mint chocolate chip cookies :) It's apparently hard to find an uncut slab of bacon? It took us 4 tries! A lot of meat counters seem to get their bacon cut up already.

More homemade goodness
Jan. 18th, 2012 12:26 amMy husband and I cook at home sometimes, but we usually keep it simple since we work during the day. However, we recently decided that once a month, we'll work together on a meal that is as homemade as we can make it. Last month, it was our steak dinner. This month, we decided on lasagna with a side of caesar salad.
Lasagna is one of the easier things I know to make, but it's because I usually buy the sauce and lasagna noodle pre-made at the store. Well... not this time!

Hello 2012
Jan. 4th, 2012 01:29 pmHappy New Year! I finally got around to my typical New Years post XD;;
Since I celebrated Christmas with both my family and Buckley's family, I got a lot of great gifts. Here are most of them:
The all-edges brownie pan is from Buckley. If you are an edges fan like me, that pan is pretty amazing. I mean, every piece has edges - every piece!
