Productive Saturday
Feb. 4th, 2012 11:10 pmWell, I got started on one of my New Years resolutions today:
Finish cleaning, decorating, and furnishing our house.
Though, it wasn't the resolution that motivated me. It was the oh crap we have friends over tomorrow and our house is a total mess that did it. We're hosting a party for the Super Bowl. To be honest, I don't really care about the Super Bowl. I'll watch college football to cheer for my alma mater, but I don't care for pro football. I do love having friends over and making food though!
We plan on braising bacon, which will then be cut, seared, topped with a homemade apple slaw, and served as a slider. I'm also making my mint chocolate chip cookies :) It's apparently hard to find an uncut slab of bacon? It took us 4 tries! A lot of meat counters seem to get their bacon cut up already.
